The only changes I have made is to attach two fanmate controllers (one to each fan) crank them down to the lowest setting and tuck them in the case out of sight. So, I'm prepared to go 10 to 20 quid into some enhancements to make it work. However, I *really* like the case and the fact it includes a DVD / BD in such a small good looking package. Let's be clear: I think it's a fair point that this shouldn't be sold as silent - its nothing of the sort. We cannot guarantee that the air flow is sufficient, and I do not know how much noise it will make. Trying another fan is also possible, but there are not so many fans of this size. ![]() I think the idea is good, because this way the screws will not transfer vibrations from the fan to the heatsink. Maybe the rubber straps will degrade and snap because of the warmth, if they are not designed the handle higher temperatures. ![]() But I do not know how that will work in the long run. I have looked at those pictures (from 'silencing the ASRock ION 330': < my insert) and I can imagine that this might indeed make it more silent.
